Construction
Designed with aesthetics in mind, the IMDL1 microphones provide a discrete miking solution thanks to their diminutive size. The IMDL1 microphone flange measures just under 1.6 inches (40.5mm) wide and 0.7 inches (17.8mm) tall.
Options
The IMDL microphones are available with the LumiCommâ„¢ Touch Ring. Black and stainless finishes are available.

Each mic yields more coverage, so you need fewer of them. The first benefit of this is potentially a reduced scope for phase errors between mics. The second is that you require less cabling and DSP to connect and process inputs.
They just simply work, and do so better than any other ceiling mics we’ve encountered. The biggest difference is the pickup pattern and coverage area.
Great consistent coverage and a clean, natural, and transparent sound as I have come to expect from the Earthworks product. It makes good audio easy.
The audio quality was superior to other ceiling microphones we’d used for conferencing applications. Improved clarity, appropriate pickup patterns and fewer issues with distance from microphone to participant were some of the key improvements with the Earthworks microphones.
